Ramón Perea Lemos
Transforming the present, shaping the future
Between dreams and battles, Ramón Emilio Perea Lemos from Chocó writes the history of his territory with the ink of a leadership based on culture, identity and the yearning for a Pacific of opportunities for new generations.
Perea Lemos has a degree in psychology, is co-founder of the Afro-Colombian Corporation for Social and Cultural Development Carabantú, is part of the Black Communities Process (PCN) and is director of the Afro Kunta Kinte International Community Film Festival.
In his role as a leader, he has turned film into an ethno-educational tool for strengthening identity, reflective thinking and intrinsic dialogue with ancestral heritage.
