Medhin Tewolde Serrano Director / Mexico Medhin Tewolde Serrano, an Eritrean-Mexican filmmaker in Chiapas, focuses on participatory video and community communication in several countries. Through this work, she explores her Afro-descendant identity and directs her first feature-length documentary, “Negra”. Inspired by the little-known story of Afro-Mexican hero Gaspar Yanga, she created the animated short film “Nyanga”, which pays homage to the past and present cimarronaje.	Jirard Director / United States Co-Founder of Dallas-based multimedia company, The DigiBees, Jirard is a multifaceted artist & award-winning filmmaker. He has directed Music Videos for a host of artists, including Avery Sunshine, Fred Hammond & Eric Roberson. He has also lent his talents as a Director of Photography to several short & feature-length films. Mosiah will be his narrative directorial debut.	Mariana Jaspe Director / Brazil Réalisateur et scénariste. Spécialiste en cinéma, télévision et médias interactifs de l'Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid, et en réalisation cinématographique de l'Escola de Cinema Darcy Ribeiro, Rio de Janeiro. Jean Gaspa Director / France Jean GASPA is a screenwriter and director with an unusual background. Manu Zilveti Director / Brazil Graduated in Cinema and Audiovisual at UFPEL, Manu Zilveti specializes in direction at the “Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión” (EICTV), in Cuba. Director and screenwriter of the short films "In Between" (2018) and "Love, Aline" (2019) (30th Kinoforum, 24th Mix Brasil and 20th Mostra de Filme Livre). She was part of the Talent Press Berlinale at the 22nd Festival do Rio.	André Lô Sánchez Director / Mexico Mexican Afro-descendant, Chilampaneco (Mexico City - Chiapas). Formed through the study and influences of social narrative and participatory documentary. His work as a director and/or photographer has led him to work in collaborative, contextual, and collective social visibility projects. "Los Vatos Sencillos de Villa Crisol" and "The Stories of my people" are some of his outstanding works.
Huriyyah Muhammad Director / United States Huriyyah is an award-winning writer, director and producer whose projects have been invited to the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Institute, AFI, Austin Film Festival, New Voices in Black Cinema, American Black Film Festival and many others. She is recipient of the 2020 Sundance Institute Producers Award for Farewell Amor, the Film Independent Amplifier Fellowship for her screenplay The Trickster, the 2021 SFFILM Rainin Grant for Screenwriting, and The Black List	Welket Bungué Director / Guinea-Bissau Welket Bungué is originally from the Balanta tribe, was born in Xitole (Guinea-Bissau) on February 7th, 1988. He is a Portuguese-Guinean actor and film director based in Berlin, a co-founder of Kussa Productions. He holds a degree in Theater from the Actors branch (ESTC / Lisbon) and a postgraduate degree in Performance (UniRio / Brazil). He is a Permanent Member of the Portuguese Academy of Cinema, the Deutsche Filmakademie, and a member of the European Film Academy...	Abbesi Akhamie Director / United States Born in Heidelberg, Germany, Abbesi Akhamie is a Nigerian-American writer/director currently based in New York City. She received her MFA in Film from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and also holds a BA in Communications from George Mason University. She has a keen interest in African storytelling and uses film as a medium to share these stories.
Mohamed Kordofani Director / Sudan Mohamed Kordofani is a Sudanese filmmaker whose short film Nyerkuk won the Black Elephant Award for Best Sudanese Film, NAAS Award for Best Arab Film at the Carthage Film Festival, Jury Award at the Oran International Arab Film Festival, and Arnone-Belavite Pellegrini Award at the FCAAA in Milan.	Joana Claude Directora / Brazil Active for 12 years in art direction, working in films such as Kleber Mendonça Filho's "Aquarius" and Marcelo Gomes' "Paloma", Joana Claude started as a filmmaker after studying documentary filmmaking at EICTV in Cuba. Since then, she completed 2 short films: "Last Sunday" - premiered at Festival de Gramado (Brazil), Biarritz Amerique Latine (France), and Durban Film Festival (South Africa), while "Deliverance" premiered in competition at the 66th DOK Leipzig	Juan David Vargas Director / Colombia Illustrator and designer, born in the caribbean coast and living in Bogotá. Interested in viewing the world with a different lens and enjoying the life through arts.
Aziz Shennawy Director / Tunisia Aziz Shennawy is a Tunisian director and screenwriter who studied acting at El Teatro Studio and holds a certificate in film production and scriptwriting from the College of Audiovisual Architecture and Design in Tunisia. He furthered his education in Canada at the Trebas Institute and later at the University of Liège in Belgium. He gained international recognition for his award-winning short film KORRINTY, which was produced by Hypnos Pictures.	Meryem Jabbour Director / Morocco Meryem Jabbour, is a Moroccan director and scriptwriter Born in 1990. She started cinema and found her passion for filming while working in numerous of film and series as script and director assistant. In 2014, she graduated from Cinema Institute and also trained in acting and directing. Meryem is known for: SHORT FILM "SILENT SIGHS" (2024) - Red Light (2019) - SHORT FILM Wafaa (2013), which won numerous national and international awards...	Baky DIA Director / France Baky is a passionate writer and director, eager to bring a new voice to the French-speaking film industry. His first science fiction film "YURI" was well-received and went on to receive numerous awards and selections in festivals worldwide. Currently in post-production, his second project "OPHIO" represents a significant step forward in terms of production quality and ambition. In addition to his live-action work, Baky is also working on a 3D animation short.
Jorge Pérez Director / Colombia Jorge Pérez was born in Barranquilla into a family of Palenquero roots. After finishing school and his studies in English, he was admitted to the Film and Audiovisual program at the Universidad del Magdalena in 2015. In his career he stood out for academic performance and the quality of his work, which earned him the honorary diploma "Cum Laude".	Maja Costa Director / Germany Maja Costa is as a freelance, multilingual screenwriter/director based in Berlin, Germany. After studying Cello at the Milan Conservatory and getting a master’s degree in Ancient Near Eastern Studies and Egyptology, she studied Screenwriting at the dffb in Berlin and is, as a scholarship holder from SKY Italia, an alumna of the International Showrunner Incubator Serial Eyes.	Razanajaona Luck Director / France The director comes from Madagascar and studied at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels in Marrakech, Morocco. He has participated in and developed his projects at Berlinale Talents, Rotterdam Lab and La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde in Cannes. His short films and feature-length documentaries have screened at numerous festivals around the world. Disco Afrika: une histoire malgache is his first feature-length fiction film.
Diego Casseres Director / Colombia Diego Casseres (19 years old), born and raised in El Palenque de Benkos. Audiovisual producer and filmmaker with emphasis on community work. From his work as an empirical communicator he aims to promote the cultural manifestations of Palenque, his homeland. Co-creator of Ethnic Influencers, a Palenque youth collective born from the need to make visible characters with social and cultural impact in the territories.	Patricia Ayala Director / Colombia Director, producer, and the founder of Pathos Audiovisual. Her first feature film, Don Ca, won the Colombian Film Academy‘s Macondo Award for Best Documentary in 2013 and has been screened and recognized in festivals worldwide. A Matter Of Land is her second film. Bridges Over the Sea is her first fiction film.	Carlos Gabriel Vergara M. Director / Colombia Carlos Gabriel Vergara M. has worked as an actor, announcer, screenwriter, producer and film director. He has obtained important recognition at festivals in Colombia, the United States, Bolivia, Spain, Germany, Italy and India, among others, for his previous films. This is heating up and divided between two waters are part of a trilogy about the environment, topics that Carlos Gabriel has been working on since 2011.
Lydia Matata Director / Kenya Lydia Matata is a writer on Country Queen a series streaming on Netflix. Her films include Sungura, a narrative short that has screened at the Interfilm Festival in Berlin and the Pan African Film Festival at Cannes. She has also produced and directed music videos for platforms such as Take Back the Mic Africa. Her documentary short Utapata Mwingine received the Best Emerging Filmmaker Award at the UN Women’s Global Film Festival in 2021.	Natasha Craveiro Director / Cabo Verde Natasha Craveiro is a Cape Verdean sociologist, producer and director and member of the Cape Verdean National Cinema Nucleo, NuNaC. She was born in Mindelo, on the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde. In January 2017 she co founded producing company Korikaxoru Films. She produced and wrote the short documentary “Dona Mónica”, produced the feature film	Alvaro D. Ruiz Director / Colombia Alvaro is a writer director who has produced drama and documentary projects in Australia and Colombia. His works have screened at multiple festivals (La Havana, Bogoshorts, Indianapolis, Los Angeles y San Francisco Latino, IndieBo, Florianopolis, Adelaide, among others) Some noted works include Amanecer (Daybreak), a short film shot in Australia, supported by Australian actor-producer Claudia Karvan and the New South Whales Film & Television Office...
Badewa Adeseye Ajibade Director Nigeria Badewa Ajibade is a Nigerian filmmaker. Badewa was trained at the Toronto Film School in Canada and is currently an MFA film production candidate at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. He has written, directed and produced 4 short films in addition to this documentary. His work has been screened around the world and has earned him recognition such as awards from film festivals.	Robert Brand Ordóñez Director / Colombia Robert Brand Ordóñez, nacido en el territorio Amazónico, a las riberas del rio Putumayo, en la Colombia periférica. They worked together for more than 6 years on numerous advertising and institutional projects. In 2017, they set off for Haiti for the first time to co-direct their first documentary. Financing will come from crowdfunding and their own resources.
Moon Lee Ferguson Director / United States Moon Lee Ferguson is a South Florida-based filmmaker with a passion for storytelling in the genre space. She is known for her award-winning fantasy series, Juju, which was a finalist in the Comcast Black Experience on Xfinity grant program, in which she was awarded $100K to fund her current projects. Some of her past work includes Street Food on Netflix, Family Karma on Bravo, and the Emmy-nominated docu-series The 1619 Project on Hulu.	Belal Abosamra Director / Egypt He is a recent graduate from the High Cinema Institute at the Academy of Arts in Cairo, Egypt, with a Bachelor's Degree in Animation and Directing. With his graduation film Bahr, he embarked on a journey to pursue his passion for storytelling through the art of Animation.	Afef Ben Mahmoud Director / Tunisia Tunisian director and actress Afef Ben Mahmoud dashed from an early age into a rich artistic career, initially as a dancer then as actress through numerous TV series, theater plays and Flms. She has held lead roles under major Tunisian directors, including Nouri Bouzid’s Making Of and recently in Streams by Mehdi Hmili, receiving the Best Actress award at the Cairo IFF in 2021. Marcos Alexandre Director / Brazil Marcos Alexandre is a screenwriter, director and producer with a degree in Audiovisual Production. He has a diploma in Cinematographic Direction from the AIC. Boubacar Diallo Director / Burkina Faso Boubakar Diallo is a famous Burkinabe director, known for such comedies such comedies as "Marriage Leave", "La villa rouge", Le bonnet de Modibo" and also for the series Fabiola, la sacoche. Fernanda Pineda Palencia Director / Colombia Graduated from the Cinematographic Research Center, Argentina. She is a photographer, director, producer, and Co-director of Páramo Films. With more than 8 years of experience in documentary, she has approached indigenous, Afro, and rural communities, telling stories in the context of the Colombian conflict and post-conflict. Juan Fernando Uribe Director / Colombia Juan Fernando Uribe, director y productor audiovisual, ha desarrollado una notable trayectoria en el ámbito, dedicándose a la creación de historias y proyectos documentales. Rolf Hellat Director / Switzerland Rolf Hellat studied film at the School of Arts Zurich, Switzerland. He attended an exchange program at the film institute of India in Pune. Since then he has made fictional and documentary films as a director and editor, which have been shown at Palm Springs Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival, among others.	Perivi John Katjavivi Director / Namibia Perivi John Katjavivi is a Namibian-British filmmaker. He holds a BA in Cinema from Columbia College Hollywood and an MA in African Cinema from the University of Cape Town. He currently teaches film and media at the University of Namibia and is a PhD candidate in History at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. His research is interested in how colonial sites of memory, related to the Herero genocide, influence everyday life in Namibia.	Bayo Lambo Director / Nigeria Bayo Lambo is a Nigerian writer-director and business development executive. He recently completed his first short film ‘Angie’s Love’ in 2023 and is currently developing his first feature film. In 2020, Bayo launched N’ihu Media, an online platform that develops and curates content showcasing overlooked aspects of life in Africa through documentaries, news stories and candid interviews.
Johanna MAKABI Diretor / France Born and raised in Paris from Senegalese and Congolese parents, Johanna Makabi is a filmmaker, writer and producer. Her first short documentary film Méduses, Afro Hair and Other Myths that she also produced won several prizes and was screened in festivals around the world.	Nancy Mac Granaky-Quaye Director / Germany Nancy Mac Granaky-Quaye studied film directing at international filmschool in Cologne, Germany. Since then she worked as director, writer, editor and image mixer. In these functions she has mixed music shows like MTV unplugged, directed reports, music videos, advertising, shortfilms and documentaries. Also she worked as programmer and curator for Afrika Film Festival Cologne, which was awarded as best cultural event in 2019.	Juan Mejia Botero Director / Colombia Award-winning filmmaker with 25 years of experience in feature documentaries and documentary series. Throughout his career he has focused primarily on community filmmaking and collaborative activist documentaries about struggles for justice around the world. His feature film, Igualada, will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024.
